Your New SFSU Mobile ID

Your OneCard…now available in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet!

The OneCard is available to all enrolled students and current employees. Tap your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy or other eligible Android phones at readers across campus to conveniently use your OneCard Mobile Credential. Your Mobile Credential acts just like your physical card (except for Gator Pass transit functions) and now you can add it to your preferred digital wallet.

Getting Started

Minimal set-up is required to use your Mobile Credential. Most users can begin using their Mobile Credential on their phone in minutes. A San Francisco State University account and an approved photo are required.

If you already have an approved photo in the OneCard system go to the appropriate User Guide below for instructions on downloading your Mobile Credential.

Photo Submission/Preparation (Student Process)

Once you have received your CloudCard Online Photo Submission access, please upload a photo to be displayed on your OneCard Mobile Credential. The submitted photo must follow passport requirement standards.

  1. Photos will generally be approved within one to five business days.
  2. If you haven’t done so already, set up your SFSU email access and multi-factor authentication login.

Managing Your Account

You can change your preferred name by selecting the names button under the personal information section in your Student Center account page.

In order to change your legal name, you will need to submit a name change form along with the required verification documents to the Registrar's Office. After submitting the form, you can visit the OneCard Office to make sure that the updated name is in effect.

Mobile Credential will only display your Gator Dollars account as that is the main campus currency. You can view your Flex Dollars balance by visiting the Add Value Stations around campus and selecting balance inquiry or by asking the cashiers at Monarca Dining Hall and Bricks to check your balance.

A negative balance will appear on your account if a transaction that cost more than what you have in your account balance is processed. You can visit the OneCard Office to take a look at your transaction history and see which transaction caused the negative balance.

If you are attempting correct a payment made on the same day, the participating retail locations should have the ability to void your transaction and process your payment using your OneCard.

If you are attempting to correct a payment made on a previous day, you will need to contact the participating retail locations to see their sales policy as the vendors may have different policies on making changes after the day of the transaction.

Your Mobile ID will expire once you are no longer a student at SFSU. That being said, your student account will never expire. If you have remaining Gator Dollars balance on your OneCard, you can submit a Gator Dollars refund request form to the OneCard office or contact us so we can temporarily activate your Mobile Credential so you can use up the funds on campus.
