How Do I Upload a Photo?
The photo submission process is completely online!
- If you are attending the SFSU Orientation, an Online Photo Submission email titled "Greetings from SFSU - OneCard" will be sent to your SFSU email account. If you can’t find the email or did not attend orientation, contact us at onecard@sfsu.edu and provide your ID number and SF State email address to request for a CloudCard account be created for you.
- Go to your SF State email, find the email titled "Greetings from SFSU - OneCard" and click on the photo submission access link. If you can’t find it in your inbox, it may be in your junk mail.
- Submit your ID photo in the first upload box. The photo must adhere to passport photo criteria.
- Submit your supporting document in the second upload box. This can be a photo of your ID, driver’s license, passport or high school ID.
- Click on “Submit and Exit” at the bottom of the second submission page once the two photos have been uploaded.
- Check your SF State email to see if your submission was approved or denied.
If your submission is approved, the OneCard Office will create your OneCard and email you when it’s ready to be picked up. (ID cards will not be mailed.) If denied, you will be given the reason for the denial and a link to try again.
Remember: This is a one-time photo submission process for new students only. OneCard ID cards never expire, and continuing students do not get new ones. Once your photo is approved, it can’t be changed and will remain for your entire time at SF State.
Help! I Tried Looking In My Email and Couldn't Find the Access Link!
Make sure you’re looking in your SF State-issued email (ending in @mail.sfsu.edu or @sfsu.edu).
If you’re having login issues with your SF State-issued email, consult the Information Technology Student Email Guide for instructions.
Still having trouble? Our system might have not been updated with your information to allow you to submit your photos yet. Please email the OneCard Office if you are having issues finding the Online Photo Submission Link.
Help (Again)! My Photo Keeps Getting Denied!
If your photo has been denied, you will be notified through email with a reason. Please make sure your photo meets the criteria of an acceptable photo.
