Getting Your Gator Pass

Gator Pass is now available on the Clipper App!

Students who want to have their Gator Pass on their mobile device will need to follow one of the procedures below to activate their Gator Pass benefits:

  1. Download the Clipper App on your mobile device and create an account if you do not already have one.
  2. Create a new digital Clipper card by selecting the "+" icon at the top left of the "Cards" section in the Clipper App. After creating your new digital Clipper card. select “Add to Apple Wallet/Google Pay” and continue to follow the prompts to complete this process.
  3. Go to the Student Clipper Portal (click here) and enter your Clipper card number into the portal. This will let us know which Clipper card number to upload the Gator Pass
    to.

Once the local campus fees included in your Fall/Spring tuition are paid or deferred by financial aid, the “Events Pass”, which is the Gator Pass, will be added to the Passes section of your card on the Clipper App after approximately 7 to 10 days. In the meantime, you will need to pay for your fares yourself. "Pending Tag" will display underneath it when the Gator Pass is loaded into your digital card, meaning it’s waiting for you to tap your device on a transponder and your Gator Pass is ready to use!

  1. Go to the Student Clipper Portal (Click Here) and enter your Clipper card number into the portal. This will let us know which Clipper card number to upload the Gator Pass to. The Clipper ID number can be found at the back of your card.

Once the local campus fees included in your Fall/Spring tuition are paid or deferred by financial aid, the Gator Pass should be activated on your Clipper card after approximately 7 to 10 days.

*Converting your plastic Clipper Card to a digital card will deactivate the physical card for transit use. This process is not reversible once performed.*

Apple users:

  1. Download the Clipper App on your mobile device, create an account and register your Clipper card to the account if you haven't already done so.
  2. Open the Apple Wallet app on your mobile device and press the “+” icon. Select “Transit Card”, then “Clipper Card”. Select “Transfer Existing Card” underneath the "Continue” button and follow the prompts to transfer your physical Clipper card onto your mobile wallet.
  3. Go to the Student Clipper Portal (Click Here) and enter your Clipper card number into the portal. This will let us know which Clipper card number to upload the Gator Pass to.

Android users:

  1. Download the Clipper App on your mobile device, create an account and register your Clipper card to the account if you haven't already done so.
  2. In the Clipper App, select the "+" icon at the top left of the "Cards" section. Select “Register Plastic Card” and continue to follow the prompts to transfer your
    physical Clipper card onto your mobile wallet.
  3. Go to the Student Clipper Portal (Click Here) and enter your Clipper card number into the portal. This will let us know which Clipper card number to upload the Gator Pass to.
